As past of Black History Month 2025, the City of Westminster council organised a variety of talks and workshops. Classically British & Co. founder Mark Elie spoke to an audience about his experiences and the importance of diversity in the arts.

Carol Straker receives an MBE!

Carol Straker celebrates being awarded an MBE in the King's Birthday Honours List in 2025. Congratulations Carol! Without the pioneering work that Carol Straker did in the early 90s, there would be no CB&CO. She opened doors for many other black and mixed race dancers in classical dance in Britain.
